English Springer Spaniel

The springer spaniel is a great dog, I have grown up with them as pets my entire life. When my family decided to get another spaniel, I decided to do some research on the breed and share it with you. Picture is our new puppy Gracie.
The English Springer Spaniel is a compact, medium-sized dog with long floppy ears. Their tails are always docked and when they get excited their entire butt wiggles. The feet are small. The head is strong, refined and in good proportion to the rest of the dog. The length of the head should be about the same as the length of the neck. The stop is moderate with a groove rising between the eyes and gradually disappearing in the middle of the forehead.
The eyes of these dogs are medium-sized eyes have a loving expression to them. The eyes are either hazel or brown, depending on the color of the coat, I've had four during my life and all of their eyes have been brown. When the ears are pulled forward they should reach all the way to the top of the nose. They have teeth that all line up and they also have a powerful jaw. The medium-length coat is flat and sometimes wavy and feathered. They can be either brown and white or black and white.
Springers are great dogs with a friendly disposition. They are even tempered and loving, they love to run around, hunt, and go swimming. If you are thinking about getting a springer spaniel you should have a yard they can play in.
